The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of law firm billing experience, with a standard knowledge of accounting software and electronic billing platforms.  Must be an accurate, organized, detail-oriented, team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dead-driven environment.

The position’s essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for conflict checks and opening of new files/new suits.
  • Perform full cycle billing functions, including prebills, bills and client statements.
  • Execute bills in a timely manner on various E-Billing platforms while also monitoring them to track approval process and anticipated collection dates.
  • Timely address appeals and obtains necessary explanations and backup.
  • Provide assistance with daily deposits and reception coverage, as needed.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects, as requested by Billing Supervisor and Director of Finance.
