Michael A. Ferro is a seasoned trial attorney with over 25 years of time working in the Staff Counsel Department for a major automobile insurance carrier. Within that period of time, the last 23 years has been as an attorney handling complex civil litigation matters involving personal injury litigation and insurance defense. Following his role as Staff attorney, he served as Supervising Attorney for approximately 4 years and then Managing Attorney for one of the insurance carrier’s largest Staff Counsel offices for approximately the last 9 years. He understands the importance of working closely with both the client and claims department toward the shared goal of a successful result. His experience gives him the keen ability to not only analyze a case from an insurance defense perspective, but also from the client’s perspective, claims’ perspective and adversaries’ perspective. He joins Harwood Lloyd, as Counsel, Insurance Defense after practicing in the New York City Courts with an emphasis on Queens County.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Hofstra University School of Business in 1999. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2002.
