Victoria D. Silva is an associate in Harwood Lloyd’s Insurance Litigation Department and Commercial Department concentrating in commercial litigation and insurance defense litigation, handling matters in the areas of general commercial disputes, medical malpractice, construction, toxic tort, professional liability and premises liability.
In 2006, Ms. Silva graduated Cum Laude from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a degree in Marketing. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2009.
During law school, Ms. Silva served as a judicial intern for Hon. Leonard B. Austin, Justice, New York State Supreme Court, Nassau County, Commercial Division. Additionally, she was a member of the Immigrant Rights and Access to Justice Clinic where she drafted and submitted a waiver of hardship petition on behalf of her client.
Prior to joining Harwood Lloyd, Ms. Silva worked at Blank Rome LLP, in New York, New York. She handled general real estate matters in both New York and New Jersey.
Ms. Silva is a graduate in The Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court.
Ms. Silva is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (2009), the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (2009), and the courts of the State of New York (2010).
Ms. Silva is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
In 2014, Ms. Silva was elected to sit on the Northern Region Advisory Council of Youth Consultation Service, Inc. (“YCS”), a nonprofit, non-sectarian agency that provides behavioral, health and social services to children and families in need. Ms. Silva serves as the Event Co-Chair for the annual Festival of Flavors fundraiser to benefit the children of YCS. Ms. Silva also devotes her personal time to serve as a YCS Mentor at the Holley Center in Hackensack, New Jersey.
