Manuel D. Irizarry, Jr. is a Partner in the Harwood Lloyd Commercial Department. His practice focuses on commercial, real estate and business transaction matters. He also serves as counsel to a number of financial institutions in connection with their commercial, business and residential loan and mortgage transactions.

Mr. Irizarry received his B.A. in Law and Society, from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 1997. He received his J.D. from the Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2001.

Mr. Irizarry served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Richard F. Plechner, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Middlesex County for the 2001-2002 term.

Prior to joining Harwood Lloyd, Mr. Irizarry was a senior associate with the law firm of Cohn Lifland Pearlman Herrmann and Knopf, LLP, Saddle Brook, New Jersey. While at Cohn Lifland, his practice focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions, including acting as review counsel for a local lending institution. A large portion of his practice also entailed representing a major regional lending institution in the handling of commercial, residential and consumer loan collections and foreclosure matters.

Mr. Irizarry served as the Municipal Public Defender for the Borough of Totowa, New Jersey, from 2004-2009. He represented individuals who could not otherwise afford counsel before the Totowa Municipal Court.

Mr. Irizarry is admitted to practice before the courts of New Jersey (2001) and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (2001).

Mr. Irizarry is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
