Harwood Lloyd Partner Thomas Loikith Completes Term as 120th President of Bergen County Bar Association
Harwood Lloyd commercial transaction partner Thomas Loikith presided at the annual meeting of the Bergen County Bar Association held on March 21, 2019 in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. Tom completed his term as 120th President of the Bergen County Bar Association as the new President, Andrew J. Cevasco, was sworn in by Bergen County Assignment Judge Bonnie J. Mizdol. Tom was elected to the Bar Association Board of Trustees in 2008. He was elected Secretary of the Association in 2013, Treasurer in 2014, Second Vice President in 2015, First Vice President in 2016 and President-Elect in 2017. On March 22, 2018, Tom was sworn in as the 120th President of the Bergen County Bar Association for a one-year term. Tom remains on the Bar Association Executive Board as Immediate Past President until March, 2020. Since he joined the Bar Association Board of Trustees in 2008, Tom has been active on several committees, particularly co-chairing the Banking and Business Law Committee and the Corporate Law Committee. In addition to his involvement with the Bar Association, Tom was elected to the Bergen County Bar Foundation Board of Trustees in 2007. He served as Vice President of the Foundation from 2010-2012 and as President of the Foundation from 2012 until April 30, 2018. Tom is currently the Immediate Past President and a trustee of the Bar Foundation. His term as a Foundation trustee expires on April 30, 2019.
